⚡ Quick Start - 3 Steps to AI Chatbot

Step 1: Install Ollama (1 minute)

brew install ollama

Or download from: https://ollama.ai/download

Step 2: Run Setup (2-5 minutes)

./start-chatbot.sh

This will:

  • ✅ Check Ollama installation
  • ✅ Start Ollama service
  • ✅ Download AI model (~2GB)
  • ✅ Create your custom assistant
  • ✅ Verify everything works

Step 3: Start Website (10 seconds)

python3 -m http.server 8000

Then open: http://localhost:8000

🎉 Done!

Click the chat icon (💬) in the bottom-right corner and ask:

  • “What are Darya’s technical skills?”
  • “Tell me about her research”
  • “What projects has she built?”
  • “How can I contact her?”

🧪 Test First (Optional)

Before using on your main site, test it:

open http://localhost:8000/test-chatbot.html

# Option 2: Command line
ollama run darya-assistant

# Option 3: Automated test
./test-chatbot.sh

❓ Troubleshooting

Chatbot says “Ollama not running”

ollama serve

Model not found

ollama create darya-assistant -f Modelfile
